I believe there is room for improvement at this company. The workplace was mostly staffed by Filipino workers with a few Canadians. I was recruited from the UK, but after only seven weeks I was let go without any explanation.

The owner, Hank Fischer, was collecting rent from some employees and housing them at his residence, which I later learned was not allowed. I did report this situation to the relevant government department, and I hope appropriate action was taken.

It’s unfortunate, because I had started to get along well with the team and had made some friends there.
